Counseling Services

Need to Talk?
Going to high school involves many changes, like personal, cognitive, and spiritual growth; developing relationships; and growing in identity and purpose. There are times when it might be beneficial to talk with someone about the challenges of navigating these changes.

Michigan Lutheran High School partners with WLCFS-Christian Family Solutions to provide our students with access to Christian counseling services through a secure video connection from home or school. There is no cost for an initial set of five (5) counseling hours. If additional counseling services are needed after the fifth session, families can choose to pay privately or use their health insurance.

Christian Family Solutions provides a wide range of individual and family counseling services. Students interested in meeting with a counselor through Christian Family Solutions will need parental consent.

Common areas of concern for personal counseling include:

  • Depression/Anxiety
  • Alcohol Problems
  • Illicit Drug Use
  • Gambling
  • Cutting/Self-Harm
  • Relationship Issues
  • Eating Disorders/Body Image
  • Sexuality/Sexual Assault/Abuse
  • Stress Management
  • Suicide or Suicidal Behavior
  • Victimization
  • Homesickness
